There are still those songs that are so lame or overplayed that are kind of embarrassing to like...but you still do and will always sing along to when they come on the radio. Guilty pleasure songs never get old, no matter how out-of-date and overplayed they are. It was hard for me to narrow down a list of 10 guilty pleasure songs, because honestly, I listen to these stupid songs regularly. Maybe I'm just inexcusably lame. I love these songs, and I'll defend them forever!

1. "September" by Earth, Wind & Fire

This song has so much boogie you can't help but boogie to it. It's kind of lame and yeah your mom probably likes it, but life's too short to pretend you don't like a little disco.

2. "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol

If you ever want to have a good cry, listen to "Chasing Cars." It seems like this song always comes on the radio at the most aesthetically somber times, like when you're driving home late at night. Overplayed? Definitely, but it's still so good.

3. "Africa" by Toto

It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from this song. "Africa" is super cheesy, but wow, what a hook. Am I right?

4. "You're Beautiful" by James Bluntoverplayed, which is probably what gave it its negative connotation. Look, the music video is great in its own lame way, James Blunt is hot, and I'm never gonna delete it from my iTunes library.

5. "Hey There Delilah" by Plain White T's

Oh, the anthem for our favorite ogre. We know the lyrics by heart thanks to "Shrek." Smash Mouth's music is wild, and "All Star" is nothing short of amazing.

7. "Toxic" by Britney Spears

If you act like you're too good for classic Britney, get out of my face! Everyone loves "Toxic" and you're not an exception.

8. "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" by Eiffel 65

Do you sing this song in that nasal voice? Yeah, me too. This song is just straight up fun.

9. "Mambo No. 5" by Lou Bega

"Mambo No. 5" is literally my guiltiest pleasure song. I heard that Monica, Erica, Rita, Tina, Sandra, Mary, and Jessica all agree with me that this song is hilariously awesome.

10. "Ice Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice

Alright, stop. My most reoccurring childhood memory is roller skating at the local roller rink to "Ice Ice Baby." Put this on and watch your friends try to stutter out the lyrics.

So, there's 10 of what I consider the guiltiest of the guilty pleasure songs. I hope these throwbacks get you lost in Spotify listening to your favorites.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
