December has arrived and if you are anything like me, you've yet to start Christmas shopping. If you don't know what to buy one of your bibliophilic loved ones, check out this list to spark inspiration and be the winner of gift giving.

1. Bookmarks

Bookmarks are a cheap gift to give. Not only are they practical, but they are cute and can be customized to your recipient's liking.

Find unique bookmarks at Etsy or Barnes and Noble

2. Bookends

Bookends are perfect accents to a bookshelf. They add flavor to the shelf as well as keeping books upright. While not the most practical, any book-loving person would be lying if they said they've never thought about splurging on them.

Find a perfect bookend here: Target or Etsy

3. Blanket

Getting hunkered down with a good book is every bibliophile's dream. Comfort includes finding the perfect blanket to wrap around yourself. Softness is key, but cuteness is bonus points.

Want to find a good blanket? Look at Kohl's or Target

4. Mug

When hunkering down as I mentioned earlier, a drink is a must. Whether it is tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cider, or even water, cute mugs make everything better.

Cute mugs can be found anywhere! Here's a place to start: Redbubble or Anthropologie or Target

5. Tea/Coffee/Snacks

Having hot beverages and food to occupy our hands while reading is important, especially during long reading sessions.

Find some new teas here.

6. Candles

Candles are perfect additions to create a perfect reading environment. They smell good and just make everything cozier.

Book scented candles: Frostbeard Studios

Other candles: Uncommon Goods or Bath and Body Works or Yankee Candle

7. Merchandise from his/her favorite book or series

Do you know your bibliophile's favorite book? If so, get him/her something to do with their fandom. Clothing, specialty items, or stickers are a good place to start!

Check out Etsy or Redbubble for handmade items and cute fandom things!

8. Kindle/Nook

Even if he or she swears that they like physical copies of books better, sometimes eReaders are simply more convenient. Whether it be packing for a plane ride or having limited space elsewhere, having an eReader might come in handy. Plus, books are often cheaper on eReaders and will pay off in the long run.

Popular eReaders include Nook or Kindle

9. Gift Card

You can't go wrong with gift cards! Whether it be to Barnes and Noble or Books-A-Million or Target or Amazon, a gift card to any place that sells books will be a yes from a book-lover. This way they will definitely get something that they can enjoy.

10. Books

This may be obvious, but books are the best gift there is. Depending on how well you know the person, get them a book that sounds right up their alley or get one that is really popular right now.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
