10 Foods You Need To Try
Health

Food is something we all love. It makes us feel better in our time of sadness, and food makes us happy in life. So, since food brings so many people joy around the world, here is a list of ten foods that you guys should try.

10. Pelau

Pelau is a Caribbean dish that is made with rice, chicken, and peas. It is very delicious and happens to be one of my favorite foods. It is even better when you eat it with coleslaw. If you want a quick and tasty meal, Pelau is definitely the way to go. If you are a vegetarian you can make it without meat as well.

9. Abacha

Abacha is a Nigerian dish that consist of cassava, cheese, pepper, palm oil, salt, and any other ingredient that fits your taste. I have never eaten Abacha, however, my friends from Nigeria tell me that the dish is amazing. I guess I am going to have to try it and see.

8. Roti

Roti is an Indian and Caribbean dish. It consist of a type of flat bread that you eat with curry chicken, channa, and potatoes. You can also have bodi and mango with it. Again if you are vegetarian you can leave out the chicken, or if you just do not want chicken, you can make it with different meats. Roti is a must try!

7. French Escargots

It is said that when it comes to French food their escargots are the way to go. I will have to try it one of these days.

6. German Schnitzel

If you have not tried a German food yet, you should start with a Schnitzel. It is meat pounded with a tenderizer that is coated with flour and egg, and then fried. German Schnitzels are great and so are their crepes.

5. Mexican Quesadillas

A true Mexican Quesadilla is definitely a must try. Be very careful though, as it may be a little spicy.

4. Trinidadian Chow

I know for this one many people may say they have tasted chow before, but it is not what you think. Chow is where you take fruit(s) such as mangoes and tangerines, mix them together with a touch of water, salt, and pepper and, voila, you have chow. Chow can be made with any fruit and some people even use some vegetables to make them. No matter what you choose it will taste great.

3. Italian Food

I must say that Italian food is also very delicious. Any kind, no matter what it is, is sooo good. However, make sure it is authentic and not fake.

2. Philly Cheese stake

I think when it comes to cheese stake a true Philly cheese stake cannot be beat. It is truly delicious and it cannot be from any where but Philly. Their water ice is also really great!

1. Double

Double is my absolute favorite food of all time. I have never met a person who has tried doubles and did not like it. It is Caribbean mostly Trinidadian and it is absolutely delicious. I bet if you eat it you cannot just eat one.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
