From the perspective of a young female who loves all things beauty and also someone who has a love for the humane treatment of animals, certain beauty lines that test on animals deeply concern me. Although I love my beauty products, I find it heart wrenching when I see what these poor living beings have to go through all for what, my mascara? Knowing this I took the initiative to search for beauty brands that do not test on animals because I simply do not want animals to suffer for me or my makeup. Your first thought may be that the makeup does not work as well or is too expensive but here are some brands that I love and that are cruelty free. You may even recognize a few of them.
1. Urban Decay
This brand is my long time favorite. From the naked palettes to the shadow primer, I have never had a bad experience with Urban Decay so to find out they are cruelty free was even better.
2. Yes to
Yes to is great for all things face. They have amazing face washes and lotions so this is definitely a brand to look into if you are adamant about a good face wash. My personal favorite is the yes to coconut creme cleanser because I tend to have dry skin and this cleans my face without drying it out.
3. Too Faced
Similar to Urban Decay, Too Faced has a lot of beauty products such as eyeshadows, primers, face foundation, and much more. My favorite by them is definitely the "Sweet Peach" shadow palette.
4. Wet n Wild
With the above brands being at the higher end of price ranges for some people, many would be surprised to know that Wet n Wild is also cruelty free. I personally love their contour palettes.
5. NYX
This has to be my all time favorite affordable beauty brand. Knowing they are cruelty free made me so excited because the highlighter pressed powder is to die for.
6. Physicians Formula
Not to mention this brand is all organic so it is safe to put on your skin but it is also cruelty free. They have everything along the lines of makeup and my favorite beauty item from Physicians Formula would be the liquid eyeliner. It is the perfect shape for winged eyeliner.
7. Bath and Body Works
Everything in this store smells amazing from candles to lotions to perfumes. This store is also cruelty free so shopping for scented lotions and perfumes can be that much easier because of the abundance of options this carrier has.
8. Smashbox
Smashbox has an amazing primer line. So if you are looking for good face products smashbox would definitely be the way to go cruelty free and all.
9. The Body Shop
Lotions! The Body Shop has the best lotions of all time. The body butters are extremely hydrating for your skin and no animal had to be harmed in the process of making them.
10. Paul Mitchell
All of the above are makeup and skin care lines so I wanted to add a hair product line. So many hair products are tested on animals which is really sad. So knowing that Paul Mitchell, a very respectable brand, is cruelty free can make it easier when shopping for shampoos and conditioners.
