Conspiracy theories are creepy, funny, bizarre, and almost always unbelievable. But, what about those that are actually true. From lizard people running the world to celebrities having been secretly dead for decades, here are some conspiracies that are to crazy to not be true.

1. Stephen Hawking is dead

The theory that Stephen Hawking is dead is not well known, but it is very compelling. Hawking was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, ALS, which is a very deadly disease which affects motor functions in the body. ALS tends to claim its victims' lives within 5 years of the diagnosis, while Hawking has supposedly lived decades with the disease, while seeming look younger and younger as time goes on. This is hardly likely unless he has received medical technology and attention undercover and unavailable to the rest of the world. What seems to be more likely is that Hawking is dead and has been for a considerable amount time. He was replaced by a body double who lives as Hawking. In doing so, Hawking's philosophies remain relevant as well as his presence in media in TV and movies making a considerable amount of money.

2. Gold Fraud

If you have watched any TV in the past few years, you've no doubt come across commercials about buying gold at an inexpensive price now, while the value increases in the future. The problem is that, as the gold fraud theory explains, these companies are selling gold that doesn't exist. Even after paying for the gold the companies say you now own, you only receive a certificate of ownership, not the actual gold. This fraud of the companies selling gold neither you nor they have is one of the biggest frauds in history.

3. Neil Armstrong never walked the moon

Everyone knows that Neil Armstrong took the American flag to the moon before the rest of the world, but did he really? This theory claims that the images we see of Armstrong are all movie magic and were made just to win the space race. Many people point out flaws in the image and recordings we have that may have been missed in the past when technology wasn't nearly as advanced as today, most notably the way the flag appeared to be moving which is impossible in space. Maybe America cheated its way to the finish line in the space race.

4. Lizard people run the world

A favorite theory for many, this theory says world leaders like Trump to celebrities like Justin Bieber — and even some CIA agents — are actually lizards. According to this belief, a network of reptilian or lizards are actually ruling the world and can shape shift into human looking beings to hide their true identities. While it may seem far-fetched, the lizard people theory has become very popular as videos have caught these beings in action, and even has some commonalities with other theories about aliens on earth. Whether you believe in this theory or not, a quick search for the topic online will bring about a lot of creepy videos of the so called shape shifting caught on camera.

5. Jay-Z is an immortal vampire

At this point, how could you not believe in vampires anyway. There are countless stories, books, movies, and shows about such immortal vampire beings like Jay-Z. The theory says there is photo evidence of Jay-Z appearing throughout different periods throughout history. Jay-Z also was quoted saying "I'm not afraid of dying, I'm afraid of not trying." Obviously, a man who can never die doesn't fear death.

6. Project MKUltra

Beginning in the 1950s in the United States, the government developed new ways to retrieve information from the minds of criminals or anyone who wasn't going to confess easily. The focus of this conspiracy is the drug use of the government to do so, specifically LSD, as well as torture. The testing was spread throughout hospitals, jails, and even universities to ensure that the drugging and physical and psychological torture would break the subjects down enough for their minds to be controlled by the government. This conspiracy is chilling not only because this the government we are to trust our lives with, but also because it was proven be true with the release of around 20,000 documents pertaining to the project in 1977.

7. 'Friends' is a lie

The current favorite TV show to binge watch around the world could all be a lie. All of the friends seem to be close and connected in some way. They are related, have been friends since high school, or have even been married. All but Phoebe. With her mother dying early in her life and living alone on the streets, it seems Phoebe is the only friend in the group to be from a different walk of life than the rest and is deemed "the weird one." That is where this theory comes from that she actually isn't part of the group. She still lives on the streets and day dreams about this group of interesting people she sees every day and wishes she could be one of them. This theory has been denied by the cast and crew of "Friends," but it is a different way to think of the show.

8. Michelangelo's morbid hobby

According to theorists who study Michelangelo's work, very realistic human anatomy can be found throughout the art. Apart from the obvious nudity many of the paintings show, body parts like the human brain can even be seen hiding in the background. This knowledge of the human body comes from Michelangelo's partaking in dissecting dead bodies to be able to make more accurate sketches. He would cut the bodies apart and was able to recreate details like the spinal cord and a cross view of the human brain in "God Creating Adam."

9.Glass in lip balm

Have you ever applied lip balm and realized that your lips feeling worse after you use it? Those who have taken notice have developed this theory that lip balm companies are mixing tiny pieces of glass into lip balm formulas to keep chapping the lips of those who use the product. These shards of glass can go undetected because of how small they are, but you feel the effects later and need more lip balm which keeps you in the market for the company's products.

10. Paul McCartney was replaced

In 1966, a news report told of the famous Beatle Paul McCartney's death in a car crash on his way home from a recording studio. Obviously, wanting to keep their up and coming careers from the negative effects of McCartney's death, the other band members reassured everyone that he was home, safe, and hadn't been involved in a crash. If this was true, where would the news source have gotten that story in the first place? This is where the "Paul Is Dead" theory comes from. After his death, McCartney was replaced by a look alike named William Campbell who has played the role of the role missing band member ever since. Some Beatles songs like "Good Morning, Good Morning" and "With A Little Help From My Friends" even hint at McCartney's death and Campbell replacing him.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
