Halloween has come and gone, and for me, this means time for Christmas songs and themed clothing. Getting into that Christmas spirit, you have to listen to those "head bangerz" right off the bat. From Mariah Cary, to Pentatonic, to some Disney classics, I have a list of top ten songs you've got to hear and add to your Christmas playlist ASAP.

1. Mariah Carey: "All I want for Christmas is you"

Who doesn't love this Mariah Carey classic. The beat combined with her voice just makes for a must have Christmas time staple.

2. Pentatonix: "White Winter Hymnal"

I love the Pentatonix Christmas album. Their beautiful voices combined with the classic Christmas songs are just exquisite. This song has the best of "The Cup Song" combined with angle voices. It will definitely be stuck in your head all day if you listen to it.

3. Aly & Aj: "Greatest Time Of Year"

For those of you who grew up watching Aly & Aj on TV, you know how good their music was. Who doesn't like the "Potential Breakup Song,"? They get even better when you listen to their Christmas song. It takes you back to your preteen years where you would blast this song on the radio and jump on your bed.

4. Michael Bublé: "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas"

Michael Bublé is a Christmas staple. His calm voice with Christmas words just melt the heart. If he isn't a part of your Christmas playlist, then you're not doing it right.

5. NSYNC: "Merry Christmas, Happy Holiday"

I love this song. Pentatonix also has a version of it but I decided to go classic with NSYNC's version. You can't not be happy listening to this song blasting on your radio.

6. Hannah Montana: "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree"

Every year I play this song while decorating the Christmas tree. I mean, it just fits. I grew up on Hannah Montana, so listening to her Christmas song just takes me back to the good ole' days.

7. Pentatonix: "Just For Now"

I don't think this song is very well-known, but it is on the Pentatonix Christmas album. I heard it recently and fell in love. Trust me on this one, it's a must listen to.

8. Cheetah Girls: " Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas"

The Cheetah Girls where my life so I can't go a Christmas without listening to them. I mean, if they can sing and dance in Bollywood or on the streets of Barcelona then who's to say their Christmas songs aren't just as great?

9. Ariana Grande: "Last Christmas"

Ariana, despite popular opinion, has some great Christmas songs. From the one above, to "Snow in California," she'll get you in the Christmas spirit.

10. Justin Bieber: "Mistletoe"

Justin Bieber, like Ariana Grande, are Christmas time classics. From his twist on "Drummer Boy," to "Mistletoe," adding him to your Christmas playlist is something you won't regret.

Happy Holidays!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
