I will straight up say that I am a total poor college student. I am proudly balling on a budget and so is my wardrobe. A lot of people think that to look good you have to invest in multiple expensive brands. However, I don't go out and spend $100 on a shirt and you don't have to either. This doesn't mean that I don't have nice clothes in my wardrobe, because I do, but while I'm at college I'm not going to invest money into clothes I know I'm definitely not going to give the proper care to. So low and behold, the list of clothing items and brands every college girl that's on a budge should have in her closet.
1. Big t-shirts
It's been said by me and others, but I will not stop preaching XL t-shirts until the day I die. I can and WILL wear them and nobody will stop me.
2. Tobi
Tobi is a women's online shopping website that basically has everything you could ever need for great prices. If you want going out clothes, casual hangout clothes or even accessories they've got you covered for every style. Just by signing up you also receive 50% off your first purchase.
3. Asos
Asos is another online only shopping website but they even have men's! Asos is still a great price range but the unique thing is that familiar brands such as Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and more. They also have a festival specific page, if you're into that.
4. Forever 21
I know how awful it can be to go into that store. I can personally say that I hate shopping in stores in general but some of my best pieces in my wardrobe have actually come from Forever 21. A simple trick is to buy your clothes online and pick it up in the store! I know that not everything is carried in the store, but they also ship impressively fast.
5. Lulus
If you have a formal or date party look no further, Lulu's has got you covered. Most dresses are under $50. You and your friends will thank you.
6. H&M
Hands down best place to get accessories you won't care about and don't have to worry about.
7. 6pm
This is the Bible of shoes. They have thousands of options for every style.
8. Brandy Melville
While Brandy is name brand it has tops and bottoms for under $20. The best part is it's one size fits all so you don't even have to worry about trying it on. This is the perfect options for lazy b*tches like myself.
9. Amazon
The whole retail world is turning to Amazon so you might as well too. Every last minute piece of clothing/jewelry I've needed has come from there. I strongly suggest getting Amazon Prime, it has my back more than most girls.
10. Your friend's closet
We all know the best part of girl friendships is the unlimited clothes. When girls ask me where I got a top 9/10 times I'm going to answer my friends closet. Shout out to my friends for having better style than me.
So you don't have to go out and spend all your money on crazy expensive clothes to look hot. All you have to do is outsmart the system and here's your unofficial guide on how to do it.
