Spring break is one of the best vacation times that any student has. A week of fun in the sun visiting a vacation spot that you are sure to remember forever. But as a college student, you do longer just coast through spring break with your parents planning every detail. It is now up to us to decide where we are going to travel to. Here is a list of the top ten spring break destinations that are sure to blow your socks off.

10. Washington D.C.

The national mall has all of the Smithsonians, the White House, the Capitol and so many other great historical sites. The best part is that all of these are free! D.C. also has some of what I believe to be the best restaurants, from seafood to burgers to just a homey restaurant. D.C. is a great way to experience culture, life, and to have a great time. And if you go during March, you might get lucky enough to see the cherry blossoms bloom on the Potomac River.

9. The Grand Canyon

As one of the 7 Wonders of the World, visiting the Grand Canyon should be a must for everyone on their to-do bucket list. The Grand Canyon is in the upper half of Arizona and can take anyone's breath away. There are a few other attractions at the canyon, which include rafting down the Colorado River, the Skywalk, and walking down the numerous trails to get to the bottom of the canyon.

8. Disney World

As if this wasn't obvious, Disney World is one of the most fun places anyone can ever visit. Disney World has so many great opportunities for the thrill speakers, the exotic food critics, to the animal lovers. You can never go wrong with visiting one of the happiest places on Earth. And if you are a Florida resident, you get a secret little discount, pretty cool right?

7. New York City

New York City. The land of opportunities and utter chaos that really doesn't even need a description. But here it is anyway; Broadway, Times Square, some of the best restaurants, celebrity sightings, you name it, New York City has it.

6. Mission Beach, California

This is not necessarily the most popular destination, but it certainly should be. Mission Beach is located in San Diego with beautiful sunsets, great restaurants, and being in San Diego, you have great opportunities for outside adventures.

5. Daytona Beach

Daytona Beach was super popular when our grandparents and parents were still in college. But it still is a great place for anyone to visit. You can actually drive your car on to the beach to park and have a great time. The water is always warm, the residents are always nice, and the food is amazing.

4. San Francisco

San Francisco is a great destination if you are looking for something a little more relaxing. San Francisco made its name with the Golden Gate Bridge. You can rent a bike and ride all the way across the bridge and fly down a steep hill to take a ferry back over the water and enjoy some great clam chowder and homemade sourdough bread. San Francisco is also home to the world's curviest street, Lombard Street. If you are lucky, a cab driver will actually take you down it, and if I may, it's actually kind of scary. I could go on and on about how amazing San Francisco is, but it would make so much more sense if you just visit on your own.

3. Las Vegas

Now this place is only fun unless you're 21. Gambling, drinking, and just a great time with your friends. Vegas does have a little secret though. There is a helicopter company that offers a service that can bring you to the Grand Canyon! You could have two great vacations in one!

2. Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls has two parts, one part is in New York, and the other is in Canada. Niagara Falls is one of the most beautiful falls with gorgeous mists and natural sights. You can take a ferry boat very close to the falls, but make sure you have a raincoat.

1. Just Take A Road Trip!

Road trips are some of the most fun vacations anyone can take. Choose a friend or two who you feel like you can spend an entire week in a car with without killing each other. Make sure you have enough food to feed everyone and take an actual paper map. Choose each destination carefully to make sure you can visit everywhere you want in a timely manner. And make sure you do something fun in each city! Try a burger in each city and see which is the best. Or buy a shirt in every city. Just make sure you have the best, most memorable time of your life.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
