December has to be one of the best months of the year. From hot chocolate to Christmas, December gives the other eleven months a run for their money. There is so much in December that we can all agree are amazing. As the month wraps up, let's reminisce on the undeniable best parts.
10. Snow
While this may only be a possibility for us in the south, I am hoping for a white Christmas. Only an inch would shut my tiny town down for a few days, and that's just enough for me to have some fun!
9. Hot chocolate
I'm always down for some hot chocolate during the colder months, and not just that, coffee too. I live on hot chocolate and holiday flavored coffee.
8. Shopping
It brings joy to my heart when stores are competing to see who can have the lowest prices. Christmas shopping means sales on sales on sales. Do I really need to buy all this stuff? Probably not, but it can't hurt to break the bank just a little.
7. Christmas lights
I know for a fact that when I get my own house, I am going all out for Christmas. I absolutely love driving down the road and seeing each house show their Christmas spirit. My favorite part is driving through Christmas light shows and feeling like I actually am in a Winter Wonderland.
6. Leggings
Leggings look good with everything. Dress them up. Dress them down. Wear them with boots and a cute sweater or wear them with tennis shoes and a t-shirt. The possibilities are endless!
5. Bonfires
There's nothing better than sitting around a fire with your best friends, roasting marshmallows and talking about life.
4. Sweater weather
I look forward to this all year. I buy way too many sweaters, all year to build up to this. From cheesy Christmas sweaters to cute sweaters, I can always rock a sweater with my matching fuzzy socks.
3. Food
Just thinking about the honey baked ham my mom is going to make is already making my mouth water. Not to mention, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and desserts *heart eye emoji*.
2. No class
Not only does December bring joy and thanks, it also brings peace and rest. I look forward to Christmas Break all year. We get a month to sleep as long as we want and watch as much Netflix as we want. Could I ask for more?
1. Being in the spirit of giving back
This is hands down the best part of the holiday season. In time of family and giving thanks, we realize that there are those less fortunate. Coming together to help others really does bring out the best in people.
