We live in Michigan. Snow comes with the territory, I know.
Don't get me wrong, I love the snow. But driving in it? That's a completely different story.
I've had my license for three winters now, and no, I will not "get used to" driving in awful conditions.
I will slow down, and I will not apologize for it.
I would much rather drive slowly with confidence than risk my life driving a little bit faster to please someone who is in a rush.
I am not a huge fan of driving when it is 70 degrees and sunny. I have been in two car accidents since I got my license, and I would prefer not to add to that number.
I have seen far too many accidents in the short amount of time there has been snow on the ground, and I have seen it as a lesson.
I see it as God telling me "be safe, someone needs you."
To put it blatantly, it is not my fault that you're running late, and it is not my fault you are in such a big rush that you are willing to risk not only your life but everyone else's on the road as well.
I will continue to slow down on slick roads, and I do not feel bad.
