10 Things To Actually Do At Oregon State's Library

Unfortunately, some students at Oregon State University are confused on what they should and shouldn't do at the library. There are many things to do at our beautiful Valley Library, but making a porno should not be one of them. Here is a list of socially acceptable things to do, just incase some of you have forgotten.

1. Play Trivia Crack.

It's productive procrastination. It makes you feel like you are doing something ~*smart*~ even when you really aren't. It's a great study break.

(Unless the person you're playing takes 15 hours to play you back.)

2. Take a Nap.

Napping is a great way to forget about your problems. Getting enough sleep can help you retain information better, so do your brain a favor and take a nap.

3. Post an "artsy" Insta of your Starbs and books.

Show off to your followers how dedicated and smart you are while still maintaining that "basic betch" rep you got goin' on.

4. Online shop for Shasta swimsuits.

It's cold, rainy, and us Oregonians are about ready for the California sun. Spend some time searching for the perfect swimsuit that will show off the fab body you have been 'shasta-sizing' for.

5. Eat an entire box of pizza.

"Pizza is a circle.  Pizza is my life. Pizza is the circle of life." -Ed Sheeran

6. Play Silent Library.

MTV throwback anyone? I know you all wish you could have been on this game show.

7. Watch a full season of The Office on Netflix.

Take a mental break by watching, one, two, or 25 episodes. No judging here.

8. Complain about your upcoming midterms and how you're unprepared.

We are all guilty. There are classes where we pay far more attention to our phones rather than our professors and we always regret it later.

9. Gossip with your BFF.

It's quiet and almost everyone has their headphones in. There is no better place than the library if you are trying to avoid unwanted eavesdroppers.

10. Do your Homework/Study/Print—ANYTHING BESIDES MAKE A PORNO.

The library is a place to catch up on homework and to study for exams. It is a great place to get things done and to focus on your school work.

Making a porno inside a college library should not be something on your to-do list. Let's keep it classy, Beavers.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
