A few weeks ago we featured an article on the Michigan-born alt-pop talent known as Børns and his sweet and sultry "Candy" EP. What follows is a photo essay of his recent show in Montauk, Long Island, at the Surf Lodge, an easy-going night of music and setting sunshine.
As Garrett Borns and his band set up, an enterprising young fan and her roadie father shared a brief moment with the singer-songwriter.
Once they'd worked their way through most of their original material, Børns performed a few covers, including Elton John's "Benny and the Jets" and David Bowie's "Moonage Daydream."
After a quick hour of music on the coast, Børns and the rest of the musicians headed out to enjoy all that the a beach town at night could offer, and the crowd that had amassed for the show continued to socialize and enjoy the warm evening.
