8am - time to hit the phones.

Bound 2 U - Kanye West

Like Kanye idolizing Kim, we begin to idolize businesses that we see as true gems among the rest. It’s as if the owner asked me what I wished for on my wishlist. Hint: for you to sign up for advertising and make all my dreams come true.

No Interruption - Hoodie Allen

Please stop interrupting me and let me make my point. Business owner, you’re not hearing what I’m saying (and it’s your loss). Maybe if you let me finish my sentence instead of interrupting me like Kanye did to Taylor Swift, then you wouldn’t have to keep rattling out questions I'm about to answer.

Fancy – Iggy Azalea.

It’s common knowledge that some businesses make more money than others such as doctors, lawyers and home services. When you’re calling a high ROI (return on investment) business and they don’t want to buy you must convince them that they are indeed fancy, and that you can help them attract rich clients. $mells like $uccess.

Don’t Move - Phantogram.

“Let me put you on hold for a second while I get you the exact answer”. Actually, I just put you on hold because I have no idea how to answer your question. I sound like this song – slightly confused and uh. Uh what? Is that a sentence? No, so I'm going to stop talking until I’ve collected myself.

Hands Up - Hedley .

You spent the past 5 days talking to the owner – they’re not budging and you basically tell them that if they don’t do this then we both lose. We can both pick each other up, and make each other (and each others wallets) smile. [ crosses fingers ]

See You Again – Miley Cyrus.

I miss the old Miley, but she said it best – I’ve got my sights set on you. We may not have closed the deal, but you are very special little snowflake of a business owner and I’m going to be calling you back so we can “get you started”. Until tomorrow, ciao hot lead.

Don’t Go Dark – Kill FM ft Helena.

You just spoke with the business two days ago and now they won’t return your calls? I can’t believe what my ears are hearing. Straight to voicemail? You have got to be kidding me. [ bangs head against desk repeatedly ]

I Need A Dollar - Aloe Blacc

People have credit cards for a reason - to make purchases. Convincing an owner to give me those 10-16 beautiful digits is one of the many reasons Aloe Blacc's song speaks to me. I really only need you to give me a few hundred( or thousand) dollars. Why is it so hard for you to spend money?

On Top - Flume ft T Shirt

It's 2pm, I have a few voicemails and I've already hit 70 calls. I'm on my grind and no one person(except my manager) or thing (except the hangry's) can stop me from being fierce. I am on a roll.

Lady Killers - G Eazy ft Hoodie Allen

Did I just close that deal? Yeah I did. It's 4:30 and I'm out. Peace, done and goodbye. I am actually incredible. Killing deals, signing contracts and being awesome. I love my job.

And repeat.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
