Thank God, fall semester is over! It was a lot of work, with nasty cafeteria food, more work, long nights, more work, barely sleeping in, and did I mention a lot of work? No worries, the semester is over, grades are in, and you did the best you could on that Calculus test. It is time to ease your mind, relax, and catch up with some friends to tell them about your crazy semester.
1. I'm too glad to be home, this semester couldn't have ended soon enough.
Finally, you're home! It was a long time coming, but you made it through. Time to put on some high socks, a button-up, and ... well, you know the rest.
2. Oh my goodness, home-cooked meals: is that really you?
Eating at the cafeteria every day just wasn't cutting it, and neither was your bank account after spending all your money on food. If you didn't appreciate your mother's cooking before, I bet you do now.
3. Oh no, I need to email my professor about that grade!
Did you check your grades, and think you were going to do better than you actually did in that one class? Well, just hope you beat your parents to the mailbox when the printed version of final grades get sent home.
4. My bank account is on "E", who's hiring?
It's not fun being broke and constantly asking your parents for money. Consider getting a part-time job during break. Sleeping in every day sounds good too, but having your own money sounds better.
5. Thank goodness I'm away from my annoying roommate.
Is that peace and quiet I hear? Let the church say amen!
6. Time to binge on Netflix!
Netflix is always a good idea. Just be sure to pace yourself!
7. I know all my friends want to see me, but I just want to relax.
You love all your friends, and want to catch up, but at the same time, your "me" time is essential. Try to make some time for both.
8. My New Year's resolution is to start working out, and eat right.
Sometimes it seems impossible to eat right at school when you're just trying to survive. Eating the cafeteria food, or anything you can afford, can be exhausting. While you're at home, try some healthier eating habits, and work out regimens that you can carry over into the new year.
9. Man I miss my independence.
Are your parents still treating you like a kid? Did they forget that you're in college and basically do whatever you want? Well tough luck, you'll never really be grown in their eyes.
10. Honestly, I’m bored now, and I’m just ready to go back to school.
The time has come where you're officially tired of being home. Break was cool, but you are ready to go back to school, and do what you do best, Paaaaarty... Don't forget school work and stuff too.
Pat yourself on the back for making it to the halfway mark! You couldn't wait to get home for winter break, but now that, that is over, you are eager to get back to school. Plus you want to show off your new outfits and hairstyle. You just have one more semester until summer break. If the fall semester taught you anything, it was to continue good habits, and and break the bad ones for the new year. It is a fresh start, so make the best of it.
