You Might Be A Camp Counselor If...

Counselors are just big campers and being a camp counselor is the best summer job ever.

Whether you're in it for the income or the outcome, camp counselors can relate to these ridiculous facts.

1. You take three showers a week, at most, and you're okay with that. After a long day of hiking the trails with a pack of wild first graders pulling on your hands, all you want is a nice shower at the end of the night, but your campers are already asleep. Never wake a sleeping camper, your cleanliness isn't that important.

2. You sing camp songs even when you're off. They're just so catchy you can't help it. Good luck getting them out of your head.

3. You get asked a million questions a day. From questions about the schedule to prying questions about your personal life and just plain ridiculous "what if" questions, the curious little kiddos never stop.

4. Your wardrobe consists of shorts, t-shirts, Chacos and crazy Goodwill finds. It's easy to forget how to dress like a real person when you get to be a big kid all summer. What are jeans?!

5) You're always tired. There is never a time that you're not tired, but your campers would never know it.

6. You eat the same meals every week. You might be growing tired of french toast sticks every Thursday morning, but your campers think camp food is gourmet.

7. You know all about plunging toilets. Your campers don't understand that they don't need to use a whole roll of toilet paper every time they use the bathroom. Camp plumbing is not too good.

8. Your staff is like one huge family. You spend the whole summer together. Everyone knows everyone's secrets, but you love it anyway.

9. You have a bigger appreciation for snail mail. Your campers get letters all the time, why shouldn't you?

10. Most importantly, you love what you do. Even though you get frustrated and exhausted, you love your job and everything about it. Campers think you're the coolest person on earth and it's probably because you are. There's no place I'd rather be.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
