The 26 Thoughts You Have When You Break Your iPhone

We've all been there. 

Our beloved iPhones don't always seem to last as long as we need them to, especially when the entire glass screen shatters. After the stages of hope, major sadness, and denial, you finally pull yourself -and your phone- together and accept what happened. Not until after you have these thoughts:

1. .......did my screen just...yup, it cracked.


2. It still turns on!!!! 

3. I deserve each piece of glass in my thumbs right now. 

4. Probably should have kept the case on it. 

5. And the screen protector. 

6. I knew today wasn't going to be a good day. 

7. Dear God please let the selfie camera work  

8. Fuck there's a glare. 

9. WHY ARE THE PIECES OF GLASS FALLING OUT??? 

10. Maybe if I lightly tap my phone all the excess glass will come out. 

11. I should have just stuck with my Blackberry 

12. My mom's gonna be so mad.  

13. This phone's only lasted me 7 weeks. SEVEN WEEKS.  

14. I'll pretend the case was on the whole time.  

15. Maybe once I get this large pieces of glass I'll be able to see the screen better. 

16. Nope.  

17. When's my next upgrade? 

18. Sh*t, I used the last upgrade the last time this happened.  

19. WHEN WILL I LEARN!? 

20. Maybe I can buy a new phone all together. 

21. Scratch that, no money.  

22. How am I going to tell Mom UGH 

23. Maybe I'll get used to the cracks.  

24. And the cuts on my hands.  

25. And the glares.  

26. This is why I can't have nice things.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
