17 Everyday Struggles at UA

You often hear that attending the University of Arizona is similar to being on a vacation: perfect weather, beautiful campus, Saturdays lounging by the pool, parties at night. What is there to worry about?

Well every school has those certain times, certain annoyances, and certain pet peeves that frustrate everyone. I'm pretty sure we have all been through these before and can all relate!

1. Attempting to request an Uber or Lyft on Thursday nights

2. Getting stuck behind the SunTran.

3.Being cold in the morning, but sweating your face off in the afternoon.

4. Avoiding the sellers on the mall (especially Brother Dean).

5. Having ALL your tests and midterms the same week. (cant teachers spread them out?!?).

6.Having no more AB mats...

7.#Tinderproblems.

8. Even though there are 40,000 people on this campus, you still always run into the one person you don't want to.

9.Watching people's ridiculously long and annoying Snapchat story of their drunken Thursday nights (try to keep it max 50 sec people!!).

10. Looking like a loner in the awkward hour between  your classes.

11. Waiting 382038 hours in the Chipotle line... but every second is worth it.

12. UA Wifi. Enough said.

13. Being forced to go to class for Clicker points.

14.  Becoming addicted to the Yik Yak Attack.

15. Wanting everything in sight on University ("Do I really need this romper??").

16. Trying to rally from Saturday Dayge to Saturday Rage.

17. Wanting to eat a late night Crunch Wrap Supreme from Taco, Bell but not wanting the regrets and calories in the morning.

Despite all these little things, we still go to the best school in the country and there are no complains, pet peeves, or any little details that can take away the big picture of how AMAZING this school is. We go through our struggles together, because ultimately we are all wildcats for life and we bear down together forever.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
