It's that time of year again... the time of year that we all dread. That time where all that students have on their mind is summer fever, yet tons and tons of work due at the last minute for several classes. It's the week before finals. And if you're just like the rest of us, here's what you'll probably be thinking during the next few weeks until it's over.

1.

.

Remember all of those neat notes and labeled binders? And of course, you had a neat organizer of all of your homework assignments and folders separated out on your laptop by each class to save all of your homework in. Now your room is full of scattered papers everywhere, you've pretty much lost all motivation to take notes, and you'll get to that homework assignment due at 8pm eventually....

2.

But despite that, you're being constantly bombarded with all of this last minute work from professors and are basically drowning in your own tears.

3.

You're also panicking because you realize that you've barely spoken all semester and with all of your test scores being iffy so far, you'll need whatever you can get.

4.

But once again, just as you're trying to get everything all together, your brain just decides nah.

5.

And then you realize all of your class opportunities are over, so that leaves the actual exams....

6.

You'll try really hard to study and will tell everyone that you are, but then decide you have time for a break after reading about half a page. And then an hour later into that, you'll just decide you still have like a day or two before the actual exam so it's okay to relax for the rest of the day.

7.

Until eventually it's actually the night before the exam and then you start freaking out.

8.

Then at some point you just quit and are just so tired that you're just willing to accept your fate.

9.

And then in the last hour or two before the actual exam, you start to panic and cram everything. Suddenly, you're working harder in that small amount of time than all of the past few days combined.

10.

You finally walk into the exam unsure what to expect.

11.

The exam gets placed in front of you and you start to freak out.

12.

You start feeling betrayed.

13.

What is even going on?

14.

Then you remember you have like four more to deal with this week.

15.

You're basically running on caffeine all week.

16. And when it's finally over...

Happy finals season, everyone. Best of luck!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
